This Application Bulletin no29 is based on our novel humidity-controlled nanoindentation system to quantify the mechanical properties of heterogenious materials.
With the grid nanoindentation technique, we do not only characterize the hardness and elastic modulus of different phases but we use a statistical method to quantify  the "volume fractions" of each phase with their respective mechanical properties (hardness, elastic modulus, creep,...)
