Scratch Test

Les scratchs testeurs de CSM sont des instruments dédiés à la caractérisation des propriétés mécaniques de surface sur films minces et revêtements, telles que les propriétés d'adhésion, de fracture et de déformation des matériaux. Ces instruments permettent de qualifier les systèmes substrat-dépôt par le biais d'informations quantitatives fournies par le couplage de méthodes complémentaires (émission acoustique, frottement.), faisant de cet équipement un outil de recherche, de développement ou de contrôle qualité.

La technique repose sur la réalisation d'une rayure sur un échantillon en déplacement sous une pointe. Cette pointe, généralement en diamant ou acier carbure, est placée en contact avec la surface revêtue sous une charge constante, progressive ou incrémentale. L'altération du dépôt peut être observée optiquement sous une certaine charge critique. Cette analyse optique est corrélée aux informations issues des différents capteurs positionnés sur le système : capteur d'émission acoustique, capteur de friction, capteur de profondeur de pénétration. Ces diagnostics complémentaires délivrent une signature unique des propriétés adhésives du revêtement.
